Pad Machining Inspection System Upgrade Application:       The project consisted of a high definition laser mounted to an axis to span a machined malleable plastic pad which rested on a table. The pan was machined with tiny circular grooves whose width, depth, and pitch were critical to the functionality of pad for which it was produced. The laser inspection system and built by another integrator but never worked as planned. The upgrade corrected some obvious equipment and software problems which prevented the proper application of the laser process.
